Well, I was going to write after Matt Garza's first very impressive start with the Rangers.  Then I was going to write after Garza's second very good start with the Rangers.  But after last night, there's something even better to discuss-3 wins in a row with walk off home runs!  How exciting, huh?  I know I've never seen a team with 3 straight games with walk off home runs.  And they were all 3 against the hated Angels.  Makes it even sweeter.  :)  I saw this morning the last time a team had 3 straight walk off wins was the Diamondbacks vs. the Expos (remember Les Expos?) in 1999.  But I don't know if those 3 straight wins were all walk off home runs.  Very exciting stuff, I hope this will give the Rangers a little spark since the offense has looked lifeless lately.

I had more to write about, but of course when I sit down to write, I forget a lot of it, lol.  I need to start using the notes app on my phone more often to jot down ideas so I don't forget.

More later.

Be well and be blessed,

A Challenge (for me anyway).

This is a challenge I've had put before me by one of the pastors at our church.  I'm dealing with some issues I'd rather not discuss here yet (if ever), but I've been discussing them with Pastor Bryan and he's challenged me to spend more time reading God's word.  If you're not a follower of Christ, that's cool.  I'm not trying to cram my beliefs down your throat, but there will be posts about what I'm reading and learning from the Word.   This is about working on improving myself and deepening my understanding of the Bible.

Here is the daily Bible reading plan suggested to me by Bryan:

Psalms-read 5 a day.  Follow the calendar if you want (like if you started today, read Psalms 24) and add 30 after reading the first one.  So today's Psalms reading could be Psalms 24, 54, 84, 114 and 134).

Proverbs-read one a day and follow the calendar, if you want.  So today's would be Proverbs 24.

One chapter from the Old Testament and one chapter from the New Testament.  The suggestion here was to start with Genesis or Isaiah from the OT, and John from the NT.

If you want to read along with me, let me know.  I'll be posting about what I'm reading, along with other stuff.

Thanks for reading (if you're reading).  :)

Be well and be blessed.

Let's try this again......

I enjoy blogging, I really do.  I just never seem to have time to write.  But lately I've realized I haven't made much time to do some things I enjoy.  So, I'm starting this blog with the hope of being able to write more.  If other people read it, cool.  If not, it's still cool, too.  If someone else is reading this, let me know you're reading!  :)

I'm happy the Rangers were able to trade for Matt Garza yesterday.  They needed another starting pitcher, and Garza is probably the best pitcher that was available.  Now they will trade for a bat, hopefully.  I'd love for them to get Jose Bautista, Michael Cuddyer, Edwin Encarnacion or Kendrys Morales.  It should be interesting to see what they do over the next week before the trade deadline.

I'm not sure what to say about Ryan Braun.  I've always loved his game and how he plays.  I also always thought he was "clean" since he didn't have that bulked up steroid user look or air about him.  Sad to know now he was using and cheating.  I'm interested to see how he'll perform next year off of the juice.

That's about it for now.   I hope I can be more consistent about writing!

Be well and be blessed.
